Snowman

Where did you come from Snowman on the cliff ?

Ice stiff, bathed in gilt sun rise,

star pebble eyes caught in new dawn rays.

Where did you come from? Where will you go?

Snowman shining bright, virgin white,

crooked shell smile lingering a while

fixed in the frost breeze.

Where will you go?

Will you fly to the sun?

beacon lit snowman, dawn glow man.

Do you dream of far lands and distant gold sands

with melt twinkle tears?

Will you fly to the sun?

‘I will fly to the sun earth chained child’

he smiled.

‘I will ride rainbows high, chase clouds through the sky

with my crystal tipped wings,

I will fly, I will fly.

Will you dance on the way snowman so bold,

ice cold?

‘I will fly to the sun where first life was spun

from fine cosmic threads.

I will dance on the way on the edge of the world.’

A shift, a gentle bow. Leaning now,

his warmed spirit curling, ghost mist unfurling

in sea grass confusion.
