Cosmic mother – rape rocked, toxic shocked,
gas extraction, rage reaction
as shattered shale shudders in fracked destruction.
Do you hear her cry?
Can you feel the earth shake?
Gentle mother – dust choked, septic soaked,
Drilled injection, cursed infection
as seismic waves tumble in quaked combustion
Do you hear her scream?
Can you hear the earth roar?
Angry mother – contaminated, dominated,
fossils fuelling, business ruling,
as air is blast-blown in heat eruption.
Do you hear her weep?
The winds of change howl.
Earth Mother we fear the dark dawn
with air pollution, no toxic solution,
and the consequences of corporate corruption.
